NVMEN publishes papers representing the most recent scholarship in all areas of the history of religions ranging from antiquity to contemporary history. It covers a diversity of geographical regions, and religions of the past as well as of the present. The approach of the journal to the study of religion is strictly non-confessional. While the emphasis lies on empirical, source-based research, typical contributions also address issues that have a wider historical or comparative significance for the advancement of the discipline. Numen also publishes papers that discuss important theoretical innovations in the study of religion and reflective studies on the history of the discipline. Créée en 1907 par un groupe de dominicains français, alors exilés en Belgique, au lieu-dit « Le Saulchoir », la Revue des Sciences philosophiques et théologiques (ou RSPT) n’a pas tardé à s’imposer comme revue de référence en philosophie, théologie et sciences religieuses. Solidement enracinée dans la tradition intellectuelle de l’Ordre des Prêcheurs et la fidélité à l’Église catholique romaine, elle s’est aussi engagée, dès le début et délibérément, dans les débats contemporains de l’Université laïque, en conformité rigoureuse avec les critères de la recherche scientifique. Signe de cet esprit à la fois d’ouverture et de scientificité, le choix précoce de la Librairie philosophique J. Vrin comme maison d’édition, à laquelle la revue est liée par une longue et fidèle amitié.

Aujourd’hui, dans un contexte de mutations accélérées qui touche l’ensemble des revues universitaires en sciences humaines, la revue centenaire aborde l’avenir avec une vigilante sérénité. Diffusée dans quatre-vingts pays et référencée internationalement (ATLA Religion Database), la RSPT est désormais accessible en version numérique sur le portail de revues Cairn.info. L’accès y est entièrement gratuit pour tous les fascicules depuis 2001 (tome 85), sauf pour les deux derniers tomes parus dont la consultation du texte intégral est payante.

La revue, publiée par la Province de France des Dominicains à partir de 1907 (tome 1), a interrompu ses parutions de 1914 (tome 8) à 1920 (tome 9) et de 1941-1942 (tome 30) à 1947 (tome 31).

Revue des études sud-est européennes (RESEE) / Journal of South-East European Studies appears since 1963 as organ of the Institute for South-East European Studies of the Romanian Academy. It has taken the succession of the Revue historique du Sud-Est Européen (1924‒1947), first published as Bulletin de l’Institut pour l’Étude de l’Europe sud-orientale (1914‒1923), which had been founded by N. Iorga. It also claims to continue Balcania (1938‒1947), the journal of Victor Papacostea.

RESEE aims to promote the study of South-East European societies in a comparative context by stimulating collaboration across different fields of research in order to reach a better historical knowledge of this particular region from Antiquity to modern times.

RESEE comes out yearly and is committed to wide international attention by publishing articles in French, English, Italian, German, Spanish and Russian. It also welcomes conference proceedings. RESEE offers constanat support to the scholarly exchange of ideas in through reviewing books, articles or journals issues.

Religion is an internationally recognized, Thomson Reuters-listed journal, publishing original scholarly research in the comparative and interdisciplinary study of religion. Religion is committed to the publication of significant, novel research, as well as review symposia and responses. In addition, the journal includes book reviews and discussions of important venues for the publication of scholarly work in the study of religion. Religion has European and North-American editors, a multi-national Editorial Board, and is committed to publishing work from scholars of religion around the globe, including occasional translations of important papers. Religion accepts papers on all religious studies topics, including the history, literature, thought, practice, material culture, and institutions of particular religious traditions and communities from a variety of perspectives such as social scientific, cultural, cognitive, ethnographic, economic, ecological, and geographic (but excluding theology or philosophy of religion). Religion expects that authors frame their research questions and present their results in terms of relevant theoretical or methodological discussions. Purely descriptive papers are not generally accepted for publication. Papers on theory and methodology are encouraged. All publications in Religion are intended to be of interest to a wide audience of academic scholars of religion; submitted work should be presented in a manner intelligible to more than specialists.
